"This snake is from South America, "Lai says as the snake begins to coil around his forearm. "Isn't she beautiful?"
The cleaning complete, Lai places the snake back into its cage. "I guess a snake like that could survive, maybe even thrive in the Taiwan wilderness," Lai muses, "but we prefer that they stay right here with us."
