The Chinese Nationalist Party (KMT) must fulfill the responsibilities of a ruling party. The current chaos shows that the KMT national congress refuses to review the responsibilities of its chairman. It also wants to pass a resolution making any national president from the KMT automatically double as chairman of the party. This is a dead-end road.
