I drive a lot because of my work and I am concerned about the lack of adequate warnings for stretches of road that are under construction or undergoing renovation.
Poor warning signs are a recipe for accidents, as anyone who has driven recently along Huanhe Rd near Sindian can testify. Some of the lanes that have been closed follow blind turns, but even worse is the lack of lighting at night and invisible lane markings.
The death toll on Taiwan's roads is high enough. Why are the road authorities oblivious to the possibility that they are contributing to it through crude safety measures?
