I agree with Dai Kaifeng (Letter, Aug. 11, page 9). But Taiwan shouldn't worry about its diplomatic tiess with dilapidated states. It should develop stronger relations with India, Thailand and major European countries. It should also recognize the Tibetan government-in-exile.
