    Letter: Protecting children

    By Andres Soria

    Tuesday, Jun 13, 2006, Page 8

I have a seven-year-old son, and my wife and myself spent considerable time in education. One of the key and fundamental principles is to avoid violent movies, as it has been proven that juveniles sooner or later will copy this behavior.

To my astonishment, Warner Village (Tiger City-Taichung) has a different set of principles. It is hard to believe that for a movie like Cars, a cartoon, is loaded with violent previews. Don't cinema owners understand they also play a significant part in the education of our juveniles?

Commercials for popcorn can be forgiven, but showing violent previews is out of all proportion.

I hope you can help me to highlight this and have the Warner Village consortium understand that what they are currently doing is completely wrong.
