Letter: Ma's propaganda for China

Chinese Nationalist Party (KMT) Chairman Ma Ying-jeou(馬英九) gets his salary from Taiwan but speaks for China. If he had done this during the KMT totalitarian era, he would have been court-martialed and executed within a week for spreading "propaganda for bandits."
Ma seems to have a fantasy about communism and admires Chinese President Hu Jintao (胡錦濤) for "leadership, openness and flexibility."
He also shares the goal of unification with China and justifies China's missiles aimed at Taiwan. Ma is friendly to China but mean to Taiwan, the US and Japan. Apparently, Ma forgot what he learned about democracy at Harvard University. He should voluntarily give up his doctoral degree to allow Harvard to maintain its reputation.
In contrast, Ma has looked down upon President Chen Shui-bian (陳水扁) since he defeated Chen in the mayoral election. Now, he tries to impeach Chen, who announced the cessation of the National Unification Council and unification guidelines. Ma considers Chen's announcement a provocation against his ultimate goal of unification and China's "Anti-Secession" Law.
Whenever Ma has done or said something bad, he acts as if he were innocent. Today, he sells "partisan" reality; tomorrow, he may sell national sovereignty.
The KMT was in power for 55 years and cannot adjust itself to opposition. If the KMT loses an election, it protests for months or even years. The government must be of the KMT or the KMT boycotts the government and collaborates with the enemy instead. The haughty KMT without power does not feel at home in Taiwan.
