    Editorial: Practice what you preach

    By Ryan Whalen

    Sunday, Dec 04, 2005, Page 8

I read with great interest your report regarding pan-blue allegations of vote-buying by DPP candidate Luo Wen-chia (ù¤å¹Å) ("DPP candidate scoffs at allegation of NT$150 bribes," Dec. 2, page 1). I have no idea whether the allegations are true or not.

However, I found the report surprising, as I recall being approached in similar circumstances by the KMT two months ago with offers of remuneration and travel benefits to participate in one of their rallies. Many foreign students such as myself were also approached, and posters were put up around our school.

I suggest to the KMT that they apply similar standards of conduct to their own party organization as they apply to others.
