Taiwan has support in EU

I'm writing you concerning your editorial dated March 14 regarding the EU's ban on weapon sales to China.

I just want you to know, for whatever it is worth, that some of us Europeans are strongly opposed to lifting the ban. And although our politicians only seem to care about lining their pockets, we support the Taiwanese people in their struggle against dictatorship and tyranny.

I personally think it is despicable to even consider exporting weapons to such an oppressive regime as China's. Unfortunately, not all of my elected representatives share that opinion. For this I am sorry. But please know that many of us ordinary citizens support your struggle, and will try to influence the people in power in Brussels and Paris to do the honorable thing.
