    Firm hand needed

    By Marvin Bolton

    Thursday, Feb 03, 2005, Page 8

In March last year, we read an article concerning the gross misconduct of the People's Republic of China (PRC).

Up until now, no one has made any effort to bring this to light. I have sent many inquiries to the US State Department, legislature and Congress and still it fell on deaf ears.

A friend of mine suggested contacting the Rand Corp in Santa Monica, California, and bring this to anyone's attention and clarify this information. After five months, I am still waiting.

As a retired teacher with over 32 years of teaching experience, I find it very vague and difficult at best to understand the motives of the PRC when it comes to constant lies claiming sovereignty over Taiwan.

Our history books and encyclopedias contain information on the history and final sanctions of World War II. But to my surprise, there is no mention of the PRC ever occupying this island before, during or after the war with Japan.

Unless someone takes a firm hand in this madness, the end result would be devastating.
