Editorial: Turning rejection into an opportunity

China may have won a diplomatic victory in Macedonia and on the international front. But it stands to pay a dear price in the form of renewed public resentment and a political reshuffle on this side of the Taiwan Strait that could prove far more damaging to its aspirations in the long run.
