Editorial: Sorry has to be the hardest word

Under Bill Clinton's mistaken strategy of "engagement," the US helped China build up its power. It's reminiscent of how the US created a powerful enemy for itself by helping build up Iraq before the Gulf War. The US needs to get back on the right tracks, see its friends and enemies for what they are, and join hands with friends to resist the "China threat."
