Editorial: Fertilizer scandle stinks

If this is true, it would be cause for public outrage. However, the government has an opportunity to ease such fears by treading a careful -- and openly visible -- path in handling the aftermath of the Taiwan Fertilizer scandal. It should speed up the sale of its remaining stake in the company and it should establish a clear basis for the oversight of newly privatized state-run companies by giving the SFC full powers to investigate their management.
