Uni-President Enterprises Co (統一企業) yesterday posted an almost nine-tenths drop in second-quarter net income, reflecting a big year-earlier one- time gain from the sale of shares it held.
Net income fell to NT$117.6 million (US$3.4 million) from NT$1.092 billion a year ago, according to figures derived from subtracting posted first-quarter profit of NT$210.9 million from first-half earnings, the company said in a statement.
