ICBC eyes China again

International Commercial Bank of China (中國商銀) said it may revive plans to set up a representative office in China after combining with CTB Financial Holding Co (交銀金控). The lender, one of eight banks that received government approval to apply to China to set up representative offices, withdrew its application about three months ago to set up an office in the eastern city of Suzhou, Senior Vice President Chen Shih-gin said. The Central News Agency reported the withdrawal earlier.
