With the traditional Ghost Festival coming within a week, several local automakers have adjusted their sales targets for the month in anticipation of a weak market demand, local media reported. Reports said Ford Lio Ho Motor Co (福特六和) said that its sales target for August would be lower than other months of the year, to about 3,400 units from 4,972 units in July. Yulon Motor Co (裕隆汽車) also revised downward its sales targets to 4,016 units for the month from 5,270 units in July. Meanwhile, Kuozui Motors Ltd (國瑞汽車) and China Motor Corp (中華汽車) have also projected sales at 5,400 units and 4,650 units, respectively, for August, dropping from the more than 10,000 units that each of them sold last month, reports said.
