Taiwan's foreign-currency reserves rose for a 13th month in July to a record, the Central Bank of China said.
Reserves increased US$7.03 billion, or 4.7 percent, from a month earlier to US$155.27 billion. The July figures was up by US$33.06 billion from the end of last year, the central bank said in a statement.
The increase reflected a higher foreign exchange income surplus on the external trade front, termination of foreign currency deposit accounts and interest income from the reserves, it said.
Taiwan's reserves are the world's third-largest, after those of Japan and China.
