NT dollar rises slightly

The New Taiwan dollar yesterday rose against its US counterpart, up NT$0.091 to close at NT$33.667 on the Taipei foreign exchange market. Turnover totalled US$627 million, up from the previous day's US$471 million. The local currency opened at the day's high of NT$33.998 and hit a low of NT$33.625 during the session.
