Silicon Integrated Systems Corp (矽統) said second-quarter loss narrowed by more than a third after sales rose by more than 25 percent from a year ago.
The company reported a loss of NT$87 million (US$2.6 million) compared with a loss of NT$133.2 million in the year-ago period.
Sales, reported earlier, rose to NT$3.2 billion from NT$2.5 billion a year ago.
The company said its third-quarter output will rise to 50,000 silicon wafers from 44,500 wafers in the second quarter.
Production will reach 52,000 wafers in the fourth quarter, it said.
