New Taiwan dollar falls

The New Taiwan dollar yesterday fell against the US dollar at the Taipei foreign exchange market, lowering NT$0.006 to close at NT$33.580. Turnover totalled US$400 million, compared with the previous day's US$439 million. The local currency opened at a high of NT$33.603 and hit a low of NT$33.566 during the day.
