EVA Airways Corp (長榮) said yesterday it will increase passenger flights between Taiwan and Hong Kong starting next week, following the signing of a new air agreement.
The Taiwan carrier will increase the number of daily flights to four from July 8 and five from July 15, up from two flights a day at present, EVA said in a statement.
EVA will also launch a new cargo service today with two flights a week, which will increase to six flights weekly from July 16, it said.
The increase in services came after a renewal of an air agreement between Hong Kong and Taiwan tomorrow, one day before the former pact was about to expire.
