Delegation asks China to talk

A visiting Taiwan delegation in China, led by Jeffrey Koo (辜濂松), chairman of Chinatrust Commer-cial Bank (中信銀), yesterday called on Chen Yunlin (陳雲林), director of China's Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, to discuss trade exchanges and cooperation across the Taiwan Strait.
The 50-member "San-San Group (三三會)" delegation arrived in Beijing Tuesday for a five-day visit. Group members include President Group's (統一集團) Chairman Kao Chin-yen (高清愿), United Microelectronics Corp CEO Tseng Fan-cheng (曾繁城), Yuen Foong Yu Group's (永豐餘集團) Chairman Ho Show-chung (何壽川) and Teco Group's (東元集團) Chairman Huang Mao-hsiung (黃茂雄).
During the visit, the group will also meet Liu Chuanzhi (柳傳志), chairman of the Legend Group (聯想集團) and China's Vice Premier Qian Qichen (錢其琛).
