The idea: Exporters struggling to stay afloat because of waning orders from overseas can dial 6000-5119 -- the last three digits deliberately picked because they are also the nation's fire emergency phone number -- for advice.
"People used to think the recovery will come about in the second half," said Park Yoon-hwan, who is responsible for the 119 call center. "Not any more. Pessimism prevails everywhere -- from chipmakers to textile companies."
