Landis Group (亞都麗緻集團) is counting on the fast expansion of its restaurants to raise dining sales to more than NT$100 million (US$3.4 million) this year, from NT$60 million last year, the hotel group’s business development division general manager, Michelle Hsu (徐儷萍), told a media briefing yesterday.

The group operates various hotels and restaurants, including the Landis Taipei Hotel Co Ltd (亞都麗緻大飯店). On Wednesday last week, the group launched its second outlet in Taipei’s Xinyi District (信義) under the French cuisine brand Brasserie Liz, its third dining outlet opening this year.

The group will open a new restaurant under its Chinese cuisine brand Tien Hsiang Lo (天香樓) in Pacific Sogo Department Store’s Zhongxiao E Road branch by the end of this month.

Hsu said the company plans to open at least five bakery outlets or restaurants in the next five years.

In addition, the group’s first central kitchen in New Taipei City’s (新北市) Wugu District (五股) is expected to start operation at the end of this month, with the capacity to supply the group’s 12 restaurants, Hsu said.

During the first nine months of the year, Landis Taipei posted consolidated sales of NT$715.6 million, up 3.71 percent from a year ago, company data showed.
