DigiTronics Taipei, an international business-to-business professional electronics show, will open tomorrow and run through Tuesday at the Taipei World Trade Center Exhibition Hall I.

The show will focus on application trends in digital electronics, with manufacturers of digital electronic products expected to launch cross-generation products, the show's organizers, Taiwan External Trade Development Council (外貿協會, TAITRA) and Taiwan Electrical and Electronics Manufacturers' Association (電電公會), said.

The exhibition this year will feature a wide range of products and theme pavilions, namely consumer electronics, digital home appliances, telecommunications and satellite reception products, as well as computers and peripherals.

The show serves as a platform for promoting business opportunities, trade negotiations, product presentations and industrial trend forums for exhibitors and buyers from home and abroad, TAITRA said in a statement.

It added that the show is also a good opportunity for buyers to visit Taiwan, a leading player in the global electronics market with a share of more than 70 percent in areas such as notebooks, motherboards, wireless local area networks and liquid-crystal-display panels.

A total of 18,807 guests visited the show last year, including 1,364 from overseas, while 198 exhibitors participated in the show, occupying a total of 319 exhibition booths.
