Indians move salt on a salt pan in Little Rann of Kutch in Gujarat State on Sunday. Salt pans begin pumping out sub-soil brine water toward the end of the monsoon in October lasting till the end of March, after which it is dried till crystals are formed. The crystals are collected by the middle of June and another eight months are required to process them into edible salt.Mar 04, 2014
