Easy payment

A woman uses her Taipei mass rapid transit (MRT) system EasyCard to pay for parking as the first batch of 216 EasyCard-enabled roadside parking meters went into operation in Taipei yesterday. The new meters have replaced coin-operated meters along Minsheng East Road sections one through three. The Taipei City government plans to replace all coin-operated parking meters in the city over the next two years.Feb 07, 2006
