Christie's auction house jewelry specialist Sarah Srichoomsin displays the biggest sapphire ever to be acutioned, a rectangular-cut Kashmir sapphire also known as ''The Blue Giant of the Orient,'' weighing 486.52 carats, estimate to fetch US$1 million to US$1.5 million, during a press preview in Hong Kong yesterday. The Blue Giant of the Orient sapphire will be sold in Christie's upcoming Magnificent Jewels sale on May 19 in Geneva.
