A Thai egg vendor talks on his mobile phone while waiting for customers at a whole sale market of poultry products in Bangkok yesterday. The poultry business in the kingdom was hit hard by the bird flu crisis, along with other Asian countries as customers began to show less interest in poultry products. The death toll from the bird flu outbreak in Asia rose to at least 22 by the beginning of the weekend.Feb 22, 2004
