The Tai Tong Food & Beverage Group (TTFB, 瓦城泰統集團) yesterday said it would hold three recruiting events this month to support its plans to continue expanding its number of outlets in Taiwan.
1010 Hunan Cuisine (1010湘辣料理), one of the company’s most famous restaurant brands, opened an outlet in Danshui last month, while Very Thai Noodles (大心泰式麵食) expanded its Chiayi outlet last month and is to open a branch in Yilan, the group said.
TTFB plans to recruit about 30 employees through the events, including management trainees.
After four consecutive months of training, trainees could have opportunities to be in charge of a branch, the group said.
The company is also interested in expanding globally, with company chairman Charles Hsu (徐承義) saying earlier this year that the group is hoping to open 100 outlets worldwide.
Last year the group opened 19 restaurants outside Taiwan.
It also attracted a total of 6 million customers last year.
Last month, TTFB said it had invested NT$400 million (US$12.63 million) in a 1,571 ping (5,193.4m2) plot of land in Taoyuan for its global innovation center.
Group officials have said they hope the center will help the group overcome difficulties in maintaining quality standards across multiple restaurants, leading to more sustainable stores and faster expansion to global markets.
TTFB reported its revenue grew 10.28 percent year-on-year to NT$2 billion in June.
The annual growth rate for June marked its sixth consecutive month of double-digit growth.
Looking ahead, the group said sales for this quarter would reach a new quarterly high due to the booming business it has seen this summer.
Last year, TTFB’s net profit increased 10.16 percent from 2014 to NT$279 million, or NT$12 per share.
