Government mulls aid for chipmakers

Samsung, the world’s largest maker of memory chips, said on Monday that the ongoing glut in the memory chip market had worsened and made it difficult for the firm to earn a profit from the product, Bloomberg reported, citing executive vice president Chu Woo-sik.
