Yahoo Taiwan teamed up yesterday with eight financial institutions to launch a special e-mail account services for its 8 million account holders to deliver bank bills electronically.
¡§Our domain key technology will ensure the arrival of bills at account holders¡¦ inboxes with a security check,¡¨ Charlene Hung (¬x¤p¬Â), general manager at Yahoo Taiwan, told a launch ceremony.
The domain key technology and online identification will ensure that no fraudsters will be able to take advantage of the bill delivery system. A dollar sign will identify bank bill e-mails to help ensure the messages aren¡¦t seen as spam, Hung said.
Yahoo is looking to add more banks to its roster of partners, she said, adding: ¡§We hope to include utilities bills in the future.¡¨
Yahoo¡¦s partners include Taishin Financial Holding Co (¥x·sª÷±±), E. Sun Bank (¥É¤s»È¦æ), Mega International Investment Services (¥üÂ×ÃÒ¨é), Cathay United Bank (°ê®õ¥@µØ»È¦æ), Fubon Commercial Bank (´I¨¹»È¦æ), Union Bank of Taiwan (Áp¨¹»È¦æ) and Chinatrust Commercial Bank (¤¤°ê«H°U»È¦æ).
