Auto shows to open on Wednesday

Automobile auto electronics products and motorcycles will be on display in Taipei from Wednesday to Saturday, with 1,500 local and foreign manufacturers occupying 3,500 booths that are expected to draw 57,850 visitors.

Visitors have the chance to take a good look at the latest innovations in the industry, including devices that interact with drivers through voice, as well as customized motorcycles.

Organized the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA, 外貿協會) ,the Taipei International Auto Parts & Accessories Show (AMPA, 台北國際汽車零配件展) will be held along with the Taipei International Automobile Electronics Show (AutoTronics Taipei, 台北國際車用電子展覽會) and the Taiwan International Motorcycle Industry Show (Motorcycle Taiwan, 台灣國際機車產業展覽會).

The AMPA is the largest of the three exhibitions with 2,400 booths and 1,000 manufacturers, which will fill the newly opened Taipei World Trade Center (TWTC) Nangang Exhibition Hall. The other two will take place at the TWTC Exhibition Hall 1.

Following success of the Taipei International Cycle Show in March — the Nangang Exhibition Hall’s debut that attracted 86,000 visitors, a record for the cycle show — the TAITRA hopes to attract more buyers with its 46,000m2 of space and rich array of features.

In addition to displays of the latest innovative auto parts and accessories, the AMPA will highlight the integration of car and information technology (IT) with a pavilion serving as a business platform for local auto part makers and IT service providers to trade with foreign buyers.

AutoTronics Taipei, with 300 manufacturers occupying 600 booths, will open with the AutoTronics Innovation Awards to showcase applications of advanced electronics in the automobile field.

The smallest of the shows, with 200 manufacturers occupying 500 booths, Motorcycle Taiwan will show off the latest motorcycles from world-renowned companies such as Yamaha, BMW and SYM.
