CLEANING UP With fuel economy regulations in China already more stringent than those in the US, Chinese manufacturers are turning to more energy-efficient designs

Shanghai Automotive Industry Corp (上海汽車) and Chery Automobile (奇瑞汽車) each showed prototypes here of fuel cell cars that they said they had developed on their own. Haima, a less-known Chinese automaker, showed an electric battery car.
