Microsoft Corp yesterday announced top executive appointments in the region.
David Tsai (蔡恩全) was appointed general manager of Microsoft Taiwan Corp, while Alexander Huang (黃存義) took over as vice president of Microsoft Greater China region for consumer and SOHO businesses, the company said in a statement.

All personnel changes were effective yesterday, Microsoft said.
Tsai had served as chief operating officer since October 2005. Huang was previously Microsoft's director for Greater China, overseeing the software giant's operations in Taiwan, as well as Hong Kong and China.
Huang's new responsibilities will focus on expanding Microsoft's consumer and retail marketing businesses and promoting its digital life technologies in the region, the company said.
"Our revenues in Taiwan will expand at a double-digit rate each year over the next five years," Tsai told reporters yesterday at a media gathering.
Tallies provided by the local branch showed that Microsoft Taiwan achieved double-digit sales growth in the first quarter, thanks to the launch of the Windows Vista operating system, 2007 Microsoft Office System and Exchange Server 2007.
