Electronics firms face white hot demand

Taiwan Web Communication Corp (台灣網通), which offers online shopping services, is set to purchase a batch of the electronic readers for its new year party.

"This is a new technology that will cultivate employees' reading habits. They can take reading material with them when they travel on business trips and while visiting clients," company president Michael Hsieh (謝效佳) said.

The medium-sized enterprise will fork out NT$100,000 for lucky draw prizes for its corporate party next month, and around 40 percent of this figure will be spent on electronics gadgets, he said.
