The consumer price index (CPI) edged up 0.21 percent last month from a year earlier owing to increases in fuel and electricity prices, the Directorate General of Budget, Accounting and Statistics (DGBAS) said yesterday.
However, the figures were down a seasonally adjusted 0.02 percent from the previous month, the statistics agency said.
The CPI fell 1.19 percent year-on-year in October and a seasonally adjusted 0.69 percent month-on-month.
Last month's core price index, which excludes prices of fresh vegetables, fruit, fishery products and energy, was up 0.56 percent from a year earlier and 0.15 percent from October.
In the first 11 months of the year, the CPI rose 0.59 percent from a year earlier, the core price index gained 0.52 percent and the wholesale price index increased 5.58 percent.
