In response, Chinatrust Financial yesterday announced that it would appoint Hsu Miao-chiu (許妙靜), company vice president and head of the accounting department, as its new chief financial officer, replacing Perry Chang (張明田).

Chang will be demoted to special adviser to the president's office to comply

with the regulator's ruling, Chinatrust Financial said.

The wave of personnel changes at the company also included the hiring of

Jason Wang (王正新), former president of Jih Sun Financial Holding Co (日盛

金控). Wang becomes the firm's new chief research and development officer

overseeing development and pricing of financial products, while Jack Cheng (

鄭泰克) was promoted to the position of chief credit officer managing risk

policy-making, the company said.
