Every Ambit share will trade for 0.672 of a Hon Hai share, which represents a 12 percent-premium based on Ambit's closing price of NT$92.50 on Thursday. The deal is expected to take effect next March.
Last month, Hon Hai announced it would purchase a factory from Finnish handset maker Eimo Oyj and another plant from Motorola Inc in Mexico, as the company aims to increase its presence in the cellphone market.
