Taiwan's exports to China rose to 25.3 percent last year, making it the economy most reliant on the China, according to official figures reported yesterday.
The ratio compared to South Korea's 14.4 percent, Japan's 9.6 percent, Australia's 7 percent, the EU's 3.3 percent and the US' 3.2 percent, according to Board of Foreign Trade figures.
The board said it was alarmed that Taiwan's exports to China had risen by an unusual 5.7 percentage points last year.
South Korea's shipments to China rose 2.3 percentage points, Japan's rose 1.9 percentage points and Australia's rose 1.8 percentage points.
Trade between China and Taiwan rose 36 percent to a record US$41 billion last year.
