Airport controversy starts to heat up

INFRASTRUCTURE High-technology firms in central and southern Taiwan say rapid overseas deliveries are a must, but others say three international airports are too much

Jing Hung-sying (景鴻鑫), a professor of aeronautics at National Cheng Kung University, countered by saying that Kaohsiung airport needs to be able to service air-cargo shipments for the nation's southern region and that it would be an "international joke to build two international airports within 60km of each other."
