The secrets of eternal youth are on the way, but they may be 20 years off and too late for many people, according to an American millionaire and expert on nanotechnology, a newspaper reported yesterday.
Texan Jim Von Ehr believes the science of the smallest particles, nanotechnology, will allow us to stay youthful for many years, the New Zealand Herald said.
It quoted Von Ehr, who is taking part in a conference on nanotechnology in Wellington, as saying, "In 20 years we are going to be able to make little devices to go in your body and actually fight diseases and cure some of the aging problems in cells."
Von Ehr, who heads a company called Zyvex, claims to be the only person in the world to invest commercially in the potential medical uses of nanotechnology -- the science of particles on the scale of individual atoms.
