Nanya comments on ProMos spat

Powerchip Semiconductor Corp (力晶半導體), another Taiwan memory-chip maker, last year opened a factory that makes 12-inch silicon wafers. All local memory-chip makers have signed technology agreements with overseas partners.

In March, Infineon also signed an agreement with Winbond Electronics Corp (華邦電子) to boost production of memory chips.

Infineon said it will buy chips from Winbond, which ended a partnership with Japan's Toshiba Corp last year.
