Automakers sacrifice profits for sales

STRATEGY In an effort to counter a sluggish economy, dealers offered no-interest loans and other incentives in a successful effort to stimulate more domestic buying

Yulon, which unveiled two 2-liter X-Trail sports-utility models last month, is also targeting higher RV sales. It hopes to move 2,000 X-Trails per month this year, said Yulon Executive Vice President Han Chen-ping (韓正平).
