Foreign brokerage calls fund probe `intimidation'

MARKET POLITICS While a probe into allegations of insider trading at the National Stabilization Fund continues, several foreign brokerages caught in the middle question the viability of doing business in a bourse entrenched in political wrangling

Another analyst agrees with Yin's point of view.

"The trading activities of the stabilization fund has been too easy to detect by the securities industry," said Dicky Dai (戴震), a senior market commentator and former chairman of a local securities company.

"Since all of the trading is done through computers, all of the buying and selling information on securities companies could be retrieved and analyzed. The trading activity of the stabilization fund is crystal clear to professionals," he said.
