Compaq launches new Internet link to suppliers

Compaq's current Taiwanese manufacturers include First International Computer Inc (大眾電腦), Mitac International Corp (神達電腦), Foxconn (Far East) Ltd and Hon Hai Precision Inc (鴻海精密電子). Compaq's notebook computer suppliers are Arima Computer Corp (華宇電腦) and Inventec Corp (英業達), which in October was awarded a contract to supply 100,000 notebooks, boosting Inventec's output to 1.5 million next year.
