"At Dali most of the factories had steel buildings, which had good resistance to the quake," he said. Out of 131 plants at the Dali park, only 13 had been seriously affected, due to the collapse of their office blocks. "Most of them are already back to normal production," Dawn said.
An earlier report by an American firm of structural engineers, EQE International (http://www.eqe.com), also indicated minimal damage at the industrial parks.
