Senior officials of the Ministry of National Defense have denied media reports that Singapore will scale down its military training cooperation with Taiwan, an opposition lawmaker said yesterday. TSU Legislator Ho Ming-hao (¦ó±Ó»¨) made the remarks after meeting with Vice Minister of National Defense Chen Chao-min (³¯»F±Ó) and several other ministry officials. According to Ho, Chen and some ministry department chiefs paid a visit to the TSU's legislative caucus yesterday to brief its members on Taiwan's defense policy and strategy. Ho quoted Chen as telling the caucus that there has not been any change in the "Starlight" project under which the ministry has been helping train Singaporean troops.
